Hubley ca. 1937 Cast Iron No. 617 Unusual Bus

This Hubley Bus is a very unique “missing link” in the 1938 catalog that bridges cast iron to die cast.  Our incarnation is cast iron, but it has the upcoming tin bottom of die cast toys.

The bus was new, we believe, in 1938.  Number 617 and measures in at a substantial 8 inches.  It is aluminum in color with red highlights. Condition is used with the typical aging on the thin paint.
