Vintage ca. 1950’s Captain Kangaroo Kid-Dee Brush CBS Productions Scrub Brush in Box 

We have for you a vintage ca. 1950’s Captain Kangaroo Kid-Dee Brush CBS Productions scrub brush manufacturer unknown. 

This is a scrub brush with plastic like bristles on a wooden handle shaped like Captain Kangaroo. It comes with its original plastic sheath that is in fair condition and its original shipper box which is in good condition. It was sent to us with a letter explaining how it was obtained, it reads: 

This doll brush was sent to Randy Jones in Jan, 1959, along with a recording from the Captain Kangaroo TV show. Randy was almost 2 ½ years old, and was suffering from leukemia. We wrote to Captain Kangaroo to let him know how much enjoyment his program brought to Randy and thanked him because we were so grateful for his show. We didn’t expect any answer. We were very surprised when he responded personally and sent the record and brush. Little Randy never knew it came. He died before it arrived. He is a very kind man. -Corrine Jones 

This piece is in great all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories and wear that are to be expected from age and play. This is approximately 7 ½” H.
