Vintage Japanese Celluloid Windup Baby Carriage Merry-Go-Round in Box for Sale

Our example of this vintage celluloid/plastic, mechanical, windup Baby Carriage Merry-Go-Round was manufactured in Japan.

This mechanical wind-up toy has two (2) actions.  When wound with its dedicated windup key, the baby carriage goes in a circle on its tin lithographed base and wheels, while the merry-go-round canopy spins around. The toy is in two (2) pieces with the canopy fitting onto a metal spindle in the middle of the base.

This piece is in great all original condition with no restorations, repairs, breaks or touch ups. The celluloid is pushed in under the base of the lady’s dress and on the sides of the baby carriage. The original box that comes with this is in great condition. This piece shows the usual patina, chips, dust, scuffs, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. It is approximately 4 ¼” L x 6 ½” H. This would be a great addition to any celluloid/plastic collection. We invite you to view the photos to further determine quality and condition.
