Kuramochi Shoten (CK) Celluloid Windup Circus Elephant with Clown Riders Japanese Toy

This is a wonderful vintage celluloid wind-up “Elephant and Clowns Perfection Toy” in box made by Kuramochi Shoten\Kuramochi & Co., Ltd.  (CK) from Japan.

This circus elephant with clown riders has the most interesting ear flapping and head moving action. The wind-up is very strong and everything works as it should. It does not come with its original key but we do include one with it so you can wind-up her up and watch her flap and rotate her head to your hearts content. All metal wires within the head and ears are sturdy. The colors are super strong and the paint and overspray is common on these toys. It still has its import stamp on its right front leg. The box is in great original condition.

This piece is in excellent condition overall, no cracks in the celluloid. It measures approximately 6 1/2″ long and 4 3/4″ high. It doesn’t have its original box, but even without it this is a wonderful toy that anyone would be lucky to have in their collection.
