Wilhelm Krauss (W.K.) Tin Camouflage Windup Baby Tractor “Baby-Traktor”

This is an adorable tin, camouflage, wind up “Baby-Tractor” baby tractor that was manufactured by Wilhelm Krauss (W.K) of Nürnberg, Germany. We have seen this attributed to Distler, but from the research we did, this “Baby-Traktor” form was manufactured ca. 1935 and marked WK behind the left front wheel. We are not sure what year they produced camouflage as the original green and red tractor itself is scarce, which makes this rare as well. 

When wound with its key this working tractor goes forward. The small brass key may be original, but we aren’t quite sure since we can’t find another like it. 

This piece is in very good all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch-ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories, and wear that are to be expected from age and play.
