We have for you a ca. 1938 rare treasure. This pressed steel shark-nosed “Wyandotte Truck Lines” Express Freight Semi-Trailer Truck was manufactured by Wyandotte Toys (All Metal Products Co.) of Wyandotte, Michigan.

We placed this around 1938 because later versions had rubber wheels, varying lengths, a spare tire, different hubs, different colored undercarriages and bumpers, lithographed grilles instead of solid color baked enamel, different logo types (stickers, embossed, etc.), different trailer lights, and even a canvas tarp with tabs to hold it. This one has an off-centered logo stamp on the side plate making this already unique and rare piece even more unique. This is a single-owner piece that is in really great condition for being as old as it is.

This piece is in great all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch-ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. This is approximately 24″ L. Specialty: Toy guns, rifles, targets, pressed-steel airplanes, and other motor toys with a baked-enamel finish and battery-operated headlights. Their biggest year was 1935 with 5 1/2 million dollars in toy guns. Acquired Haffner Trains (1950-1955).
