Yoshiya (KO) Tin Lithographed Windup “Space Dog”

This is a vintage tin, lithographed, windup “Space Dog” manufactured by Yoshiya (KO) of Tokyo, Japan. 

When wound with its dedicated key and the switch is pulled up to the on position, this working example moves forward, rocks side to side, its ears flop up and down, and its mouth opens and closes. The often missing plastic giclee on the back has been replaced and his sparker is no longer working. The round red tail tip is missing. 

This piece is in good condition. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories, and wear that are to be expected from age and play.
